Trust us, these plastic and metal boxes can really be a time-sink if you're not careful. But they can also be a terrific hobby and they give us access to an amazingly diverse, detailed, easily explored universe of knowledge, thought, opinion, pictures, resources and, really, just about anything you can think of, write about or describe! It is like being dropped into the middle of New York City. There are unbelievably wonderful sights to behold, music to listen for, arts to enjoy, people to watch and engage with. But, just like being in the middle of a large city, you also have to keep personal security in the back of your mind.
